Accommodation

What are the check-in & check-out times?

Check-in is at 3pm. You can request an early check-in at 1pm for £20 in advance via email or phone.

Check-out is 11am. You can request a late checkout of 12pm for £20 in advance by email or phone.

Are pets allowed in the hotel rooms?

Dogs are very welcome here at the Mortal Man! For them to stay with you it is £15 per night, with a maximum of 2 dogs per room. Please add this to the comments when booking or email to inform us. Payment is due upon arrival.

They are allowed in the hotel, grounds and restaurant as long as they are on a leash and well behaved.

For any other animals, please email in advance.

Do you offer breakfast for hotel guests?

We offer a self-serve continental breakfast every morning from 8am – 9:30am in the garden room at £10 per person each morning.

This includes unlimited coffee from a bean-to-cup machine, tea, orange & apple juice, yoghurt, freshly baked pastries, cold meat & cheeses, cereal, toast, crumpets and a free-from section with alternative milks & gluten-free options.

I’d like to book a room, if I want to eat do I need to book a table as well?

Yes – we always recommend booking in advance, especially during busy periods (such as school holidays and bank holidays), to avoid disappointment.

How many twin rooms do you have?

We have 2 available twin rooms, which are superior status. We have one other room which can be amended in advance.

Do you have any interconnecting rooms for families?

Unfortunately not, but we do have Duck View, a self-catered studio opposite the hotel with a King sized bed and a double sofa bed in the same room.

Do you have any accessible rooms?

All of our hotel rooms are up two flights of stairs and have shower baths. However, our Duck View Studio opposite the hotel is on the ground floor and also has a shower bath.

Restaurant & Bar

Do you accommodate dietary requirements and allergies?

Yes we do! Our menu includes options such as gluten-free, vegetarian, vegan choices. Please email or call in advance for more specific details or requirements.

We also have gluten free beer, and vegetarian and vegan wine options available at the bar.

We also offer a free-from section if you opt for our continental breakfast.

Our hotel rooms don’t have duck feather pillows but some of our decorative pillows do. Please email us to remove these beforehand.

Do you host events?

Yes! Our Garden Room hosts events at certain times of the year. We have had university lectures, wedding parties, funerals, baby showers, birthdays in there. The seating has a maximum capacity of 30.

We offer buffets, set menus and try our best to cater to all dietary needs, including gluten free, vegetarian, and vegan etc.

We do not have set pricing as each event is personal to you, but please email us for information.

Do you have car parking?

Yes we have a small free car park opposite the hotel and a couple of spaces outside the hotel for customers and guests only.

Where can my dog run free, without sheep?

We have a secure dog field a 3 min walk from the hotel which you can book by email or at reception for £15 per hour, allowing them to roam free. Please note that a stream runs along the bottom.

Do you have Electric Vehicle Charging Points?

Yes, we have 2 chargers available by EVC Plus outside the hotel. You can scan a QR code to activate or download the app to use.
